Diva makes a gentle comeback.
Also the latest before and after sequence.
This is the end of the 15th week of a new lifestyle of healthy eating and lots of exercise.
Last week was a festival of monster stickers. If you’re new to diva dieting then know that monster stickers are code for cheat meals. And a cheat meal means that I consumed very off-diet elements. And I was headed for a big fat crisis.
What is most excellent here is that in the past I would have thrown in the towel and stopped paying attention to my health. I would have gone unconscious with eating and stopped doing exercise regularly. I would have thought well I screwed up so I might as well just go back to the same old same old.
I didn’t throw in the towel like in the past. I also didn’t go to the other extreme which I normally would have done by starting an unsustainable super intense dieting and exercise campaign like Rocky Balboa.
Instead this week was marked by a gentle comeback. I returned to a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Let’s see what I mean by a gentle comeback by looking at this week’s calendar.
First let’s count the monkey stickers. Now monkey stickers represent workouts and I see two of them. For the dieting calendar I am marking exercise events that require extra exertion and getting into a fat burning zone.
And although there are 2 monkey stickers I did go for a lot of long walks this week. Going for walks gives me a sense of peace and security. I felt like I needed that kind of activity so I listened to myself and did a lot of walking.
There are 2 monster stickers for cheat meals and 5 smiley stickers for extra good diet days. So what’s the sticker for the week? Well I didn’t have the one that I wanted so I drew one instead. It’s a heart.
I think this change of behavior comes from a place of love. I used to be a cruel taskmaster to myself. Somehow my heart has opened and I am able to be much more gentle and compassionate with me. I can’t explain the change but I think it’s going to help me become slender and more healthy.
Let’s do the weigh in. Last week I weighed 171.2 this week I weigh 170.8 Hey I lost a gentle pound. That’s so nice.
